Stefan Mannheim was born in Stuttgart, Germany.
He studied law at the University of Heidelberg and is admitted to practice law in Germany since 2002.
During his legal training phase, Mr. Mannheim spent a year in California, where he served as a law assistant at the German American Chamber of Commerce. During his time in Los Angeles, he collected in-depth experience and knowledge in cross-border legal matters.
Upon his return to Germany, Mannheim furthered his legal training by attending a summer school program for International Business Law at the University of Münster. He went on to serve as a referee in the Stuttgart and Cannstatt Municipal courts from 2004 to 2012.
He established his private practice in Stuttgart in 2002.
Mr. Mannheim is an active member of the Stuttgart Lawyer association, American Chamber of Commerce in Germany and DVEV (an association of inheritance lawyers and estate planners). He regularly gives seminars and presentations on German & International Inheritance, Estate law and other related topics. Such presentations include "Succession in a business" and "Estate Planning in Germany" both given at the American German Business Club.
He also gets involved and extends his support to community organizations through volunteer work. Mannheim currently serves as a volunteer at St. Martin-hospice foundation.
Stefan Mannheim is recognized as a Certified Inheritance Lawyer (“Fachanwalt für Erbrecht”) by the Stuttgart Bar Association. This qualifies him as an expert in German inheritance law after successfully demonstrating large practical experience in inheritance and inheritance tax cases, participating in an intensive training through the bar association, and passing examinations of his professional competence. He also received the certificate of continuing legal education (CLE) of the German Lawyers' Association (Deutscher Anwaltsverein - DAV) for his above-average CLE every year.
